CSA/UL-approved ear plugs or ear muffs with a high Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) - preferably 30 dB or greater - should be worn during deployment. For prolonged exposure, both ear plugs and ear muffs may be required.

A high-visibility safety vest or jacket ensures operators remain visible to team members, vehicles, and nearby personnel during pyrotechnic deployment. This is especially important in low-light conditions or active work environments, helping maintain situational awareness and safe coordination among the team.
